The Zoo of Les Sables d’Olonne hosts a wide variety of animal species in the midst of lush greenery, flowered and perfectly maintained.
In the beautiful surroundings of the lake of Tanchet, penguins, monkeys, otters, lions, jaguars and red pandas enjoy happy days.
The Zoo of Les Sables introduces a new type of Zoo by marrying a respect for its environment, with the protection of its exotic biodiversity and making its visitors aware of good eco-citizenship.
Located near the heart of Les Sables d’Olonne, the Zoo is a 3 hectare haven of greenery nestling by the Vendee coast. The Zoo shelters around 280 animals of more than 40 threatened species. As it attracts over 160,000 visitors a year, it is the second most popular tourist site in the Vendee.
